What Reality Are You Creating?

I had an experience recently that showed me how we create our reality.

I had dinner recently with an older couple that I know. Throughout the whole dinner, they talked about allElderly couple focused on medication. of the doctors they had been seeing, the medical tests which had been done or needed to be done and the huge amount of medications they take on a daily basis. It was almost as if they were proud of their ailments and medications.

The Law of Attraction tells us that we create what we focus on.

These people are focused on their ailments and putting vast amounts of energy and emotion into the stories they told about them. Can you see what they are creating with their focus? Of course, they are creating more ill health that they can then tell wonderful stories about. Their illnesses define them, it is who they are, it gives them something to talk about. But, who wants to listen to someone talk constantly about how sick they are? These people are alone and lonely because others avoid them. They complain that there is not enough money to pay for all of their medications or to pay their other bills.

On the other hand, I know a wonderful older gentleman who never complains. He always has a smile on his face and interesting things to talk about. Even when he is having health issues, he does not talk about them. He talks about interesting things he did when he was a young man, he talks about current events, he cracks jokes. He is a joy to be with and hours can quickly pass before one is aware of the time. He has plenty of friends, his family spends lots of time with him and he has more than enough money.

Can you see the difference in the realities these people have created for themselves?

Look around you at the people you know. Can you see how they are creating the reality that they are living? Sometimes it is easier for us to see the things that others are doing to create their reality, but it is difficult to see it in our own selves.

Imagine what would happen to the complaining couple if they stopped focusing on their ailments and instead began to focus on what they could do to improve their health? Their health would improve, of course. But, how many people are willing to let go of the dis-ease that is such an important part of who they are? How many people are willing to see the silver lining in the dark clouds of their lives? How many people are willing to see the problems in their lives as a springboard to something better?

What are you willing to do to make your life more satisfying?
