My precious elderly dog Gizmo was recently diagnosed with cancer around and in his rectum. We have been treating a tumor there for many years with Bloodroot Salve, but it never went away. Now, it is cancer and has spread.
Most people freak out when their animal is diagnosed with cancer. Being as involved with natural treatments as I am, I was not concerned at all. I know cancer can be healed in people and animals. Many people have used diet, baking soda, and marijuana oil to heal cancer very successfully even after the doctors have given up.
I came home from the vet and immediately began to research what natural treatments are available that have worked for others.
Animals today get cancer at the same rate as humans.
Unfortunately, pet foods contain genetically modified, pesticide covered, antibiotic filled, medicated ingredients. They are also filled with preservatives, food dyes, and fillers. The animal by-products include the hide, other unedible body parts, and even manure. They may also contain residue of medications used to euthanize the animal.
We trust that the foods we feed our dogs are healthy, but unfortunately, they usually are not. This has become obvious with all the recalls of pet foods in recent years. Many pets have died because of unhealthy ingredients in some of the foods. We cannot even trust some expensive brands because they may use inferior products.
It is essential that we learn to read dog food labels to get the highest quality food for our woof brats. Just because a brand is popular or your vet recommends it does not mean it is high quality.
I choose organic, grain-free kibble because I know it is going to be healthier than other brands. It is a bit more expensive, but our pets deserve it.
Just as with humans, the most important thing is diet. My vet is not happy with the high protein diet I have used with my pets, but all of the research I did validated to me that a high protein diet is essential in treating cancer.
Our pets are exposed to cancer-causing ingredients.
Our pets walk and lay on yards covered with pesticides. They walk and lay on floors cleaned with cancer-causing ingredients. Carpets and their beds can have formaldehyde in them.
Because of all of this, our pets are getting cancer at a very high rate today.
Cancer feeds on sugar and carbs.
Because cancer feeds on sugar and high carb foods, it is essential to remove these from the diet. This includes dog food or treats that contain wheat or rice, processed foods such as hot dogs or ham, and even pig’s ears and rawhide.
You can make your own food at home or there are high-quality frozen meals at most pet stores.
I am feeding Gizmo food made from cooked chicken, spinach, cauliflower, and broccoli at the moment. I wanted to feed him raw chicken, but he did not like the taste of it.
Other healthy vegetables can be added too, such as cabbage, watercress, bok choy, and green beans.
Carrots, fruit or any other food that has a high carb content should be avoided.
The food should be 75% meat and 25% vegetables. Of course, organic foods are the healthiest.
I am also using The Kelmun Protocol
Mix one part of baking soda with four parts maple syrup. Slightly heat it so they are easier to mix together. The dosage for pets over 60 pounds is one teaspoon daily. For pets under 60 pounds, reduce dosage proportionally. I am giving Gizmo 1/4 teaspoon daily.
Many people have cured their cancer by taking baking soda daily. Since cancer feeds on sugar, the Kelmun Protocol is used as a trojan horse to destroy the cancer cells. The syrup is drawn to the cells and the baking soda then can kill them.
I have been using Bloodroot Salve on it.
Bloodroot Salve has also been called Cancer Salve or Black Salve. You can make your own or purchase it. Many Veterinarians are now using it.
I have been putting this on the surface of the tumor for many years. I did not realize I was supposed to use it several times a week, so it did not go away and has now spread. Since we are now using it every other day, it is becoming smaller.
Bloodroot compounds can also be used orally or intravenously. Talk to your Veterinarian about these methods.
CBD Oil and Marijuana
People have been healing cancer and many other diseases with CBD and Marijuana Oil. They can be taken orally, used as a suppository, smoked, vaped, or applied topically.
I made a mixture of CBD oil and marijuana oil which we are applying to the area every other day when we are not applying the Bloodroot.
I am also putting a very small amount of marijuana in his food.
I heated the marijuana at 250 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes. I put an amount equal to 2 grains of rice in his food each night.
Update: In mid-2022, I learned about a dog wormer, Fenbenzadole, that is used successfully to heal cancer in people and pets. It was working wonderfully, and it was finally going away when he asked to be put to sleep due to his old age. He was 17 years old at that time, couldn’t see, and could barely walk. He had also developed congestive heart failure which caused him to cough all the time. It was heartbreaking seeing his health get so bad, but he was not ready to go. One night, I asked him again if he had had enough, and he said he was ready to go.
I didn’t know how I was going to handle losing him. I got Gizmo 6 months before my daughter died, and he helped me survive losing her. After watching him suffer as he had, I was not able to grieve as much as I had expected because I knew he was out of pain, and maybe he was helping me to let go.
If you implement the suggestions here, hopefully, your pet (or human) will survive for a long time!

So wonderful of you to share this information with us. We treat our pets too. Our dogs eat raw meat, bones and all. For our cat that we took in as a young kitty, he is prone to forming crystals cause him to have blood in his urine, we found he can’t eat grain free kibble as it seems to cause it, so our cats eat raw too. Also, if this kitty has a flair up, we give him gravel root exact. Amazing! we gave it to him when it seemed that he was on death’s door. He goes outside during the day so it was n’t noticed at first.. We always keep gravel root on hand. Herbs are so much better than chemicals! We will indeed check out benefits of blood root!

I have 2 large dogs so feeding raw is too expensive. I wish I could. It is definitely much healthier. I can’t get my cats to eat raw, but they will eat cooked meat. The vet says that high protein food causes problems with the kidneys. That is why she does not like me feeding it to my dogs. I always try natural healing first if possible. Even for myself, I would never do chemo. That is what kills, not the cancer.

No it doesn’t. That is said to sell food with it in it. In the wild, Wolves do not eat grains unless there happens to be some in the stomach of the animal they eat. My dogs have been grain free for a very long time and all very healthy with 0 heart issues. I had 2 dogs with heart issues when I was feeding grain to them. One’s heart got much better after I started feeding him raw meat.

Hi Andy, Gizmo’s cancer was almost gone when I had to have him put to sleep because of old age. He was 17, couldn’t see well, and was having trouble walking and even standing up. He was ready to go. The cancer was controlled but actually started going away when I started giving him a double dose of Fenbenzadole. I wish I had known about that earlier. I need to update this article with that information.

Hi Matt, I gave him 1/4 tsp mixed with a tsp of maple syrup orally once daily. The sugar in the syrup attracts the cancer cells since they feed off sugar and the baking soda kills the cell.
A heart tumour was suddenly found in my beloved dog. 5-6cm with inflammation, enlarged lymph etc etc and chest had to be drained of fluid often when admitted to hospital, given oxygen etc. it was found at a very late stage. The only option was a surgically implanted chest drain which would have cost £5,000 plus including hospital stay. I keep thinking had I opted for drain instead of putting her to sleep could these natural options done enough to cure her or hold it back? It’s very upsetting thinking about it all. What are your thoughts?

Just before Gizmo asked to be put to sleep because of old age, I discovered Fenbenzadole, a dog wormer that cures cancer. The cancer was going away quickly and would have been gone completely in a short while. You did the best you could with what you knew. Stop beating yourself up. He is fine and visits you often. Thank you so much for sharing your story. It is heartbreaking. I lost one dog to cancer and it was brutal. Now I have two more and the 8 year old male just presented with tumors right before Christmas and they have spread all over him in a matter of weeks so many and internally as well. I brought him to the vet who did an ultrasound and found tumors in his liver. Which may have spread to other organs. It doesn’t look good and he is constantly panting and I’m just trying to make him comfortable and give lots of love. I also went home and researched the heck out of holistic healing. I have him on Omega supplements, mushrooms, cbd, turmeric, milk thistle, prunella vulgaris extract, and wheat gram extract. we also got the Chinese one yunnan baiyo I will see if I can get the ivermectin next since I also heard the same. I’m so sorry Krysty! It is hard to deal with in our babies. Gizmo and my cat, Flicker both had cancer. I found the best thing is Fenbenzadole, a dog wormer. I need to update this article with it. I used it along with the other things mentioned above on both of them.
What’s the right way to give them Fenbenzadole? Just as a once-a-month wormer or is there a regimen to do for cancer?

I’m pretty sure I’m going to use that. But it does leave me with questions before starting. Our 4 y/o German Shepherd female (70lbs.) was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and given 1-3 mos. We were given a prescription for Tranexamic 650mg., and told to get Cellular PSP and Yunnan Baiyao, which we have been giving her. Should we continue with those or stop? How long do we give Fenbenzadole daily? How much of the Baking soda and Honey would we give and what would the dosage be as in daily ECT.? If it is easier for you to figure out what I’m asking you can call, just let me know so I can send my number privately. I would add that at this point she is still real active and eats fine.

You can continue to give those if you want. Cancer is a parasite. Usually in an x-ray it looks like a ball of worms. Fenbenzadole kills worms. I would give her 1/4 tsp of baking soda with 1 tsp of maple syrup once a day. I also used marijuana for my guys and Graviola. I would actually start out using all the suggestions above to begin with. The baking soda gave her bad diarrhea even at the smallest dose. I did go on the Fenbendazole protocol but switched a few things up and it seems to be working. We shall see. Thank you for allowing me to use your information. I believe that like people all dogs are also different and require different treatments. There is no rubber stamp for any of this. Most importantly I cut out all carbs and sugar, work on killing the parasites and build her immune system. I believe it is working since her stools are now looking normal, before they were small, most likely because the tumor was pressing against the intestines.
