I have always said that all healing is emotional healing. There are almost always emotions behind the pain and dis-ease we feel in different parts of our bodies.
In this article, I am going to focus on the emotions that affect certain parts of the body.
Head
We get headaches or migraines when we feel stressed, angry, attacked, frustrated and overwhelmed. A headache can mean we feel like we have no control over our lives. We will often get a headache when we are tired or overworked.
Neck
Neck pain can often be a message to you that you are refusing to see the other side of a situation. You are being stubborn. Guilt and self-blame often result in neck pain. Chronic neck pain may be a sign that you need to be more forgiving, of yourself and others. It can also be caused by insecurity and a fear of life. Feeling like you have too much to cope with can also cause neck pain.
Shoulders
Feeling like you have the weight of the world on your shoulders can cause them to hurt. Life feels like a burden. When you are carrying this weight, you are unable to see what options you have. You may feel trapped, hopeless and helpless.
Back
Upper-back pain is caused by not feeling supported emotionally. You may feel that no one loves you, or you may not be loving enough. The mid-back is where you carry guilt, which keeps you stuck in the past. You may feel like someone is always on your back about something. Low back pain shows a lack of financial support. This lack of support can make you feel angry and powerless.
Elbows
When your elbows hurt, it can mean that you are resisting change in your life, refusing to accept new experiences. You may undervalue yourself or feel unvalued by others.
Hands
Pain in your hands means you are not reaching out enough. You are not reaching out to friends or experiences.
Hips
Being afraid to move forward in life will manifest as pain in your hips. It shows you are resistant to change. Making decisions may be difficult for you. You may feel you have nothing to look forward to.
Knees
Your knees represent your ego and pride. Pain here means you are inflexible, refusing to give in. Your ego is afraid of bending and being flexible.
Ankles
Ankles represent the ability to feel pleasure. You may be denying yourself pleasure in your life. Guilt and inflexibility can also cause pain here.
Healing these emotions will help to relieve the pain you experience. There are many ways to do this, but I recommend the Energetic Clearing Technique. It is a wonderful self-healing technique that can be used for anything.
